The original painting has been selected for an art exhibit during the month of March, 2024. If it is available for sale after this event, I will re-post it here. This painting was inspired by a beautiful photo by Tom Cochrane of Newfoundland. I follow his Instagram account for images of “the island” and in particular, the Gros Morne National Park, where I camped overnight with my husband (a million years ago). ? I loved the purple tones of the water and the contrast between the mainland and the rocky shore. Original painting. Artist signed in the bottom right corner. Varnished (protection against UV and dust) Certificate of Authenticity included. No matter what I’ve done in my life, I’ve always tried to embrace my endless creativity and passion. It’s in my DNA. I have had a diverse career as a marketing and branding consultant, copywriter, graphic designer, author, professional speaker, singer-songwriter, educator, television show host, and nonprofit executive. I studied music and art as part of my education and I often use music to inspire my art. I frequently use my own photos as a reference, as well as those by family, friends, and excellent fine art photographers who allow me to paint their images in my own style. The resulting art I create transcends the limits of time, capturing a place and moment forever. My goal is to transport people into my paintings, enabling them to engulf the mood, scene, and emotion through light, color, and dimension. Originally from Canada, I hold both an honors Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees. I relocated to Arizona in 2004, becoming a U.S. citizen in 2014. I continue to grow as an artist and enjoy sharing my work with an expanding audience.
