I paint iconic portraits of iconic people. People who have influenced our lives and left an impact on our society. So while I was thinking about my next iconic subjects I thought what could be more iconic than Bette Davis eyes? The eyes are a reflection of out personality, the mirror to our moods and a gateway to our soul. The eyes are a pool you can dive in, an endless void to get lost in. A lot of energy is poured through the eyes, and Bette Davis had powerful eyes. My subjects are iconic people / topics that have had an impact on me or our society. I used pure 24K gold leaf on this painting - it emits a rich brilliance. The painting is signed on the back and has my “e” symbol on the front. The painting continues around the sides, so it is ready to hang unframed.
