Perhaps more than many others this painting is self revelatory. I have the nick-name "Sarah-Bird," and if I were a bird it would be small and brown, but have a unique song. I incorporated antique sheet music and Hawaiian quilt patterns into this work to offer a visual feel of what the bird's song might look like.
