About The Artwork

This is my second painting of Red Bull Cape Fear surfing in Tasmania Australia. I love the colors of the ocean the verocity of the waves and the raw power. This is a very wild place, cold water, big waves, sharks, and some really expert surfers. This painting is mixed media Acrylic and Oil. I wanted to incorporate some acrylic into the painting. for texture and color variance. Mixed Media original painting 12 X 24 this picture comes framed as shown. The frame is imitation barn wood, really nice framed. Here is a link to the actual surfing event: https://www.redbull.com/int-en/events/AP-1YC5MGZBW2111/live/AP-1YBYPGB5W2111

My art is a reflection of things that inspire me, and bring joy to everyday life faith, nature, abstract, portraits. My style is Expressionism, Modern, and figurative. I enjoy painting wildlife, fish, underwater scenes, faith paintings, and angels. When I paint angels I get a sense of peace and serenity. The underwater scenes are inspired by 30 years of scuba. I also paint wildlife for I am out in the Colorado mountains quite often. My other works can be found at my website https://artallegory.com he mediums that I use are Oil, Watercolor, Encaustic, and Pen & Ink. The Mixed Media paintings incorporate things from nature such as petrified wood, lapis, sea shells and other stones. I retain all reproduction rights on images, artwork, and original paintings. You can find some of my paintings on display at the Brighton, Co. "Color of Love" art display at Brighton City Hall Sept -Jan.2020. The Littleton Fine Arts Museum Nov-Dec. 2019, 2020. Artist Statement: Those who speak in spiritual terms routinely refer to God as creator but seldom see ‘creator’ as the literal term for ‘artist’. I am suggesting you take the term ‘creator’ quite literally. You are seeking to forge a creative alliance, artist-to-artist, with the Great Creator God. Personal Statement: I believe we are all stewards of our planet; each individual should do whatever they can to preserve our wildlife, ocean, forests and air. Stand up for your beliefs, and focus on the positive things in life. Life is short, use your time wisely. Love, Laugh, make new friends, and enjoy Art!
