VIEW IN MY ROOM
Joik singer by Pat Dumez (2013). The Joik singer (traditional Sami song OR SAAMI), sings a cappella, slowly and from the back of the throat, the melody of an aniseed-flavored aurora borealis. The joik, which can describe a person or a thing, is transmitted from generation to generation. Its style is determined by its origin. The joik of the southern Sami is mixed with animal cries, the northern joik is often a description of a place (SWEDEN, NORWAY, FINLAND). This portrait is part of the series "aurora borealis anisée". Profile of a woman, looking down, half-opened mouth, dominant anise green, blue/red shadow, clear face.
