In Yoruba land, it’s customary to put shrine cooked meal (traditionally called Ebo), at the discovered T-Junction in the designated area. Such meal is prepared to appease and satisfy the grieved spirits or gods of the land. I X, have decided to conquer this taboo; that such meal befits a fellow hungry human, rather than an imaginary character who doesn’t exist thereby putting a stop to food wastage as commonly found. My use of my signature element Palm oil, hopes to shed light on the rich culture of Yoruba as it transcends Western lifestyle. X my alter-ego, is the appropriate character daring to eat a meal dedicated to the supposedly gods of the land. My style of mixed media is unique as it is open to experimentation with other media as oil pastels, charcoal, acrylics e.t.c.
