Contemporary Austrian artist of Russian origin, Elena Vostryakova works with themes such as beauty, femininity, movement, the environment and the power of nature. She embodies her ideas through painting, collages of old painted paper and found objects, clay sculptures. As the daughter of an artist but self-taught, she seeks spontaneous, intuitive work, free from the intrusion of criticism and control.
