About The Artwork
This pice is inspired by walks in the woodland with the sun's rays penetrating the canopy and foliage. A lot of time goes into the choice of colour and its production. It takes precision and experience with pigments to prepare the resins and the application of each layer. Patience is a prerequisite when producing artwork as each layer needs to cure before applying the next layer. And finally, the glass is played piece by piece to add to the effect when seen in various light. In all my pieces, the highest quality of ground pigments are used and all canvasses are gallery-stretched. Time has gone into painting the edges of the boxed canvasses so that framing is not necessary and can be hung as is.
