Some years ago I was going to places to look at what ever I might see and to draw some too. Art museums , natural history museums , and zoos. The animals in the museums were easy to draw , the ones at the zoos were a lot more fun. At the zoo most of the models could not hold a pose . I liked trying to catch the model on paper before they lost the pose. This lion was at the San Francisco Zoo. I really liked watching him. I made this painting using the drawings of him. A very strange thing happened there. Right next to where this clam lion stayed. There was a tiger That I would have liked to make a drawing of but it was very restless and really scary. A few weeks later I was watching T.V. it was the day after Christmas . That tiger had got out and killed someone. This painting has been varnished . There is a wire on the back , it is ready to place on a wall.
