About The Artwork
The picture is a reworked printed image of one of my sculptures from the fire tribe series. I paint, use several layers of vanishes, use silver and gold leaf, burn and line the canvas with several layers of recycled paper. This enables it to keep its floating fragmented edges, and can easily be rolled up for shipping worldwide. I want my work to make a connection to a primal being that lives in each of us. By connecting us to our essence, we can face fear more easily, and live from our fire.
