Bright abstract painting loosely based upon Joshua Tree National Park in Southern California, US. This painting was created using Golden Heavy Body Acrylics, the smooth, buttery consistency of these paints created a fabulous look and texture on the canvas. Joshua Tree is nearly 800,000 acres protecting a unique set of natural resources, it is a combination of three of California’s ecosystems: The Colorado Desert, a western extension of the vast Sonoran Desert; the southern boundary of the Mojave Desert reaches across the northern part of the park. It is the habitat of the park’s namesake, the Joshua tree. Extensive stands of this peculiar looking plant are found in the western half of the park; the third ecosystem is located in the westernmost part of the park, the Little San Bernardino Mountains.
