About The Artwork

In the myths of the Saami people, Juksakka is the goddess of hunt and the protector of men and boys. She is often described holding a bow and arrows with her. Juksakka and her two sisters Uksakka and Sarahkka are often painted to the bottom of the shaman drum. They were protectors of children and human life. The colors I have used are traditional colors connected to the saami culture and so is the kota (tent), the reindeer, starry sky and the shaman drum. Painted completely with watercolors and acrylics on acid-free watercolor paper. Measures: 26,5 x 42 cm / 10,4 x 16,5 inches Signed and dated by me, the artist. Guaranteed original!
