Karafuru Painting

This is an oil painting on canvas. Through this painting, I wanted to show the beauty of people and the world and bring something positive. I understand that there is a lot of beauty in the world, and it’s hard to refuse to express that through paintings :) . In this painting i try to combine realism with some abstract in the background. This time I wanted to play with colors not being limited with what I see in front of me. I did that in order to make a beautiful harmony betwen colors and to make it pleasing for a viewer. Therefore I named this painting “karafuru” which means “colorful”. My biggest inspiration are people. Therefore my work is often a portraiture and figurative painting. I’ve been working with oil paints for many years which became my favorite medium. My love to realism is widely seen in this painting through the beautiful composisions of lines, shapes, values, textures and colors.
