About The Artwork
This is an oil painting of Kasira the tiger cub, she was born wild and still is, she is helped by the project Tigers4ever a charity that provides watering holes in India and helps to stop the poaching of wild tigers. I painted Kasira to help this charity, as with most of my work a donation will go to them when sold to help with their work, they provided me with the reference photographs for this work. I have seen tiger cubs in zoos and have my own experience of seeing, sketching and photographing large cats. The painting is a round one on stretched canvas, the sides are painted and it does not need a frame in my opinion, I hope the viewer can look into the eyes of a baby tiger and love her. When hanging in my studio she has had lots of positive comments.I feel the size of the piece adds an intimacy between viewer and subject, I don't really want to sell her, I really want someone to care and love her.

I work in many mediums, that suit the particular painting I am working on.I try to capture the essence of my subject by meeting and observing them from life.
