Scanned version of the unframed painting. My scanner is not the best so this image is a little bright even after corrections in photoshop but you get the idea.

About The Artwork

Finnish title: Kaunis Kukkakaali English title: Beautiful Cauliflower Acrylic painting on A4 paper. Framed. Frame dimensions: 29 x 37,5 (x2,5) cm. The frame has protective plastic instead of glass. The frame can be mounted on a wall or displayed on a table. I think I'm hilarious. I just thought this concept of a portrait of a classy lady with a cauliflower as a head was really funny. I used to buy these giant head-sized cauliflowers from LIDL. Once I tried to take a picture of the cauliflower next to my head on my webcam but I accidentally took a short video instead. I sent this video to my friends without context and it became kind of an inside joke. So this is my very ~classy~ homage to those head sized cauliflowers from LIDL.

FYI, I also have smaller pieces for sale on Etsy. Link on my website. :) I was born in 1992 in the heart of Lapland in Rovaniemi, Finland. I was an art line student in upper secondary school (in Lyseonpuiston lukio) and continued on to study graphic design in University of Lapland, where I got my bachelor's and master's degrees with a major in graphic design and minoring in art history. I am now trying out a new path with psychology education while I paint, draw and customize dolls in my free time. I suppose a lot of my art could be considered "vent art". I like to put my difficult and strong emotions into my art and use it to deal with difficult questions I'm grappling with. I also like to use art as another vessel for my interests in alternative fashion and whatever else I may find myself obsessed with. My favorite mediums to work with are colored pencils and acrylic paints.
