I was watching alot of basketball back in the days, and coincidentally enough Kobe Bryant was what followed after Michael Jordan. I drew this way before he passed away and before he wont his last trophy this is a very surreal portrait to me as it means alot to me. This was one of those portraits that just seemed to work for me. I drew it on brown toned paper and then used the toned paper as the basis of his skin tone and went from there. After I finished this I was very satisfied and happy with it. Definitely one of my top 5 favorite portraits of all time for sure.
