About The Artwork

The influence behind this painting is a beautiful, blonde, young lady named Lea. Each time Lea comes to our house she is usually wearing bright red lipstick of varying shades. This young lady is warm, vivacious and full of energy. So I tried to put all those qualities in this painting. The painting has a warm red background and is made up of curvaceous palette strokes, of mixed colours. It is topped with lines of black and white and a sprinkle of green white and cool blue for good measure. This painting is 122 cm wide 91 cm high and 4 cm deep. it weighs 2.5 Kgs. The painting is wired ready to hang. It has felt cushions on the back to protect your walls. It is finished in a gloss varnish that accentuates the colours and protects the paint. On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. This painting will be shipped in a crate.

The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character. As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary abstract. He uses various mediums and acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes. Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques. Patrick has had many exhibitions, either solo or combined with other artists. He has won acclaim and awards for his abstract imagination. His work is displayed in galleries on the Central Coast and in private collections. .
