About The Artwork

Miniature from the series of works "Portraits of dogs in miniature". Made on canvas with oil paints of the professional series "Master class" from the factory "Nevskaya palitra". Framed in Italian plastic. Behind a special device (hanger) for hanging on the wall. Single and original author's painting. Did you know that...? The Shar Pei is a popular pet that everyone now recognizes. This outwardly funny dog with a folded skin and a purple tongue seems to be a calm, sweet hulk. But in ancient times the breed was used as a fighting dog. Character qualities allow the Shar Pei to serve as a guard, watchman, shepherd and hunter. Although now these dogs have become companions, they are kept as decorative ones. This is an intelligent, sociable and loyal pet. But not every owner can cope with it.

I was born in the capital of a small Baltic country in a family of artists 51 years ago. I've been drawing since I was a child, as long as I can remember. I was friends with a neighbor boy whose parents were also artists. That's why he and I grew up in a creative environment. Perhaps such an environment (poets, artists, musicians, artists) influenced my development. I drew always and everywhere, and often automatically (unconsciously) . At the age of 17, after graduating from high school, I, as is typical of young people, was a terrible maximalist. It seemed to me that I already know everything and know how to do everything. My parents wanted me to continue my studies at the Art Academy.
