About The Artwork
This was inspired by my love of romantic Style painting e.g. dicksee. I love painting sea scapes so I included some surf. The canvas was chosen because is is a course material which lends itself to quite heavy brush strokes although i don't tend to pile on the paint. I also use acrylic because it suits my speed of painting which is not too slow. Also I don't really like waiting weeks for it to dry. I used to have a horse and I just love painting them now as my riding days are over. To be fair I always paint the same horse which was called Big Blanco. The knight lays down his shield Intent on surrendering to Love. Under mottled silver moon that drops kisses, diamond studs onto the sea, assured that this is the cherish, and that is enough.
