The work is about dysphoric body experience and the inner life manifested by social interaction. I am an abstract painter I work on canvas, panels and paper. I work exclusively in oil paint and drawings and collage. Process is the key to my work, collage and paintings are the ephemera of my artistic practice. I consider everything a experiment. They are often intimate and I am intrigued by the relationship between figure and ground. I want whoever views the picture to take a long hard look--a journey around the shapes and their color relationship together with the compression and expansion of visual space.
