About The Artwork

In this new series, Yuna Bert reveals the ritual dimension of the tattoo, an incarnated poetry. For religious purposes or referring to an emotional, physical, personal experience, the tattoo proceeds entirely from the engraving of an ideal in our being. The new series Tattoos, exploiting allegorical forms, develops a universal artistic language for individuals in search of meaning and spirituality. Yuna Bert invites us to a sensational and symbolic journey, a journey to the very surface of skin. OAK Oak - a symbol of power, endurance, longevity and nobility, and also glory. In ancient Rome, a wreath of oak leaves was the highest award to the victorious leader. As an emblem of valor and courage oak (oak leaf, oak branch, oak wreath, oak garland) use in military signs the differences in many countries. Oak with acorns is the emblem of a fullness of fullness. Oak without acorns - the emblem of young valor. STAR TETRAHEDRON A star tetrahedron is a figure consisting of two interconnected tetrahedra. This figure can also be perceived as a three-dimensional star of David. Tetrahedra appear as two opposite laws: the law of the spirit (radiation, bestowal, selflessness, unselfishness) and the law of matter (drawing in, cooling, congealing, paralysis). Only man can consciously combine these two laws, since he is the link between the world of spirit and the world of matter. Thus, the star tetrahedron represents the two poles of creation in complete equilibrium.

Radiant and colourful, Yuna Bert’s art work offers a mixture of traditional materials and modern techniques, focusing on volume and depth. Her portraits and landscapes – between idealism and realism – cause viewers to feel successively tense or calm. This is just one of many examples of the multiple tensions which structures Yuna Bert’s art work and weavs rich and fertile connections with her own life. Yuna Bert decided to step out a world dominated by new technological media and digital art works, She is a modern artist who prefers to work with different kinds of natural materials to show her commitment to ecology and sustainable development. She is powered by a constant concern for research and innovation, paying particular attention to the composition of the painting and to the harmonious mix of several kinds of materials. The pictorial work of Yuna Bert, dynamic and rhythmic, is marked by lightness and strives to capture fleeting sensations. Experimenting widely with figurative painting, Yuna Bert encourages the viewer to continue the narrative in abeyance in her paintings. With subtle evocations of lost impressions, they allow a great freedom of interpretation, stimulate the viewer’s imagination and give an undeniable fascination. Without criticism or satirical intent, Yuna Bert’s artworks invite the viewer to take a fresh look at things. They question the world and mankind, but refrain from any critical judgment.
