In this captivating watercolor, the artist invites viewers into an abstract realm where the vibrant beauty of red poppies dances amidst a lush sea of greenery. Executed in a wet-on-wet technique, the painting combines fluidity and spontaneity to create a mesmerizing fusion of color and form. The focal point of the composition is the striking red poppies, painted in an abstract manner that imbues them with an almost ethereal quality. These crimson blooms appear to sway and shimmer against a backdrop of verdant green, creating a visual symphony of contrasts. The wet-on-wet technique lends an element of fluidity and spontaneity to the painting. Colors blend seamlessly, creating a sense of movement and unity. The result is a mesmerizing fusion of crimson and green, where the abstract forms of the poppies seem to emerge from the very essence of the painting itself. The painting transports viewers to a realm of abstract beauty, inviting them to explore the vibrant energy of poppies and the profound harmony of nature's palette. The abstract style encourages us to see beyond the literal and to appreciate the emotional and sensory qualities of the scene.

Self-knowledge is what my art gives me. I've learned to enjoy the process, that's what I like most about watercolor. I work mainly in the wet technique, because that's how watercolor shows its maximum potential. The result is always unpredictable, because the watercolor does half of the work and I like that bit of uncertainty that I can't change. I complete the painting and the painting completes me. The granularity of the pigments, the undertones, the airiness - that's why I love watercolor. I really like to experiment and paint not only with traditional watercolor tools such as brushes, but also with bags, napkins, sponges, etc. I like to paint on large formats as I feel more free to do so. The main idea of my art is to give people an opportunity to understand themselves and their attitude by looking at familiar things, to discover simple things anew. I draw on free subject matter, it's more important for me to feel what I want to depict, whether it's an apple or a street in Italy. I'm interested in exploring color combinations and their effect on people in my work. I try to capture the essence of what is being portrayed without being too detailed, leaving the viewer free to imagine. I'm inspired by the space around me, the way nature and man live together.
