Where could she be? In a hot country with blinding sunlight. Someplace like Greece or Morocco in the summer. It's the 1940s, maybe, a time when women wore bathing costumes, and she's relaxing in the sun, her skin glowing brown. It's a place that's quiet and calm. A place to relax. I love to imagine myself in places like this when I'm painting, and hope the viewer also feels peaceful when viewing this image.
