This painting was inspired by my frequent travels to California’s Central Coast. During one of my visits to this beautiful area, I had the opportunity to go sailing on Monterey Bay. It was a cool, crisp and windy day, as is often the case on the Bay, causing the sea to come alive with colors that sparkled like gemstones. This painting is comprised of layer upon layer of phthalo blue, cyan and turquoise as it was my intention to impart a strong sense of motion and energy.

The painting wraps around the 1.5” sides of the canvas making it ready to hang.

Thank you for checking out my portfolio. I'm based in the San Francisco Bay Area where my work is shown in galleries, corporate spaces, restaurants, and cafes. I have had numerous solo exhibitions over the years including an exclusive event in which I partnered with Mercedes-Benz of California. Recently, one of my paintings was chosen for the cover of the college textbook, “Gendered Lives”, by Julia T. Wood. During my past three decades as an artist I have been an ardent supporter of a number of youth art programs in the Bay Area and spent time an instructor at the Lilian Paley Center for the Visual Arts in Oakland, California. My inspiration is my personal experience with love, loss, and infinite joy. My paintings are explorations of my dreams, emotions and imagination. Much of my art is interwoven with intricate patterns and the delicate application of gold leaf to further conceptualize my themes. All my paintings have deep, personal meaning. They come from my heart and I hope they touch yours.
