About The Artwork

This is from a series of 4 paintings that deal with the seasons, however in a mixed way, because our seasons seem to be becoming more mixed these days. The work has plenty of texture and I have combined the painting techniques with some printing techniques, and with some acrylic inks. This was exhibited in 'Erosion & Renewal', a two-person show at FokiaNou art space in Athens.

Born and raised in London, studied Art, English Literature and History of Art at Harrow College of Art, Lancaster University and Reading University, then moved to Athens, Greece in 1994. Nature has always inspired me in my art, and I'm forever learning from this great teacher. We need to connect with nature in whatever way we can, even through art. Apart from my art practice, I'm also a freelance journalist/art critic. I have been covering the Greek art scene since I moved to Greece. I run the site Art Scene Athens, (www.artsceneathens.com, also on fb). You can see more of my work on my site: www.stellasevastopoulos.com, or on my fb page
