In this eerie but oddly hopeful work, the artist depicts skeletal butterflies striving to fly, even as they crumble to pieces. The small graveyard below them shows a mix of their fallen comrades as well as pieces of themselves they've lost over time. The simple three toned background of splashed ink isolates the colorful butterflies from the world around them and shows them striving towards the light.
