About The Artwork

The Emerald Tablet or The Book of Thoth was written tens of thousands of years ago. The book was rewritten several times on papyri, copies of which were deliberately destroyed by the priests, and later by the Inquisition. In silence, in freedom from material sensations, is hidden the Key to lifting the veil from the Truth, the key to the Gates of the Temple of Truth. The Egyptian god Thoth reincarnated three times. After that, he left the writings known to the modern world as the Emerald Tablets, which is certainly a later and much-abridged exposition of ancient wisdom. The original book of Thoth was almost completely lost, but the symbolic images have survived to our time, since even in antiquity they were carved in inaccessible shelters on the inner walls of temples, imprinted on coins, papyri, and also, albeit in a simplified form, were transformed into the mysterious tarot cards. The painting "The Emerald Tablet" depicts semi-abstract symbols - an emerald stone, through which buds of knowledge sprout, which the god Thoth brought to Earth. Next to the stone is an image of a feather, which demonstrates a magical connection with the world of spirits and divine power. The bright blue color against the pastel muted tones of the central objects emphasizes belonging to the spiritual world and unites the composition into one whole. The high quality of canvas and professional oil paints is guaranteed. The canvas is stretched onto a wooden stretcher frame and ready to hang. The surface of the painting is covered with a protective varnish. The size of the painting is 55,1 x 55.1 inches| 140 x 140 centimeters. The painting is one-of-a-kind, hand-signed on the front and backside of the canvas.

In her abstract paintings, she speaks to us in the language of colors and shapes about such deep philosophical meanings as : where we come from, who we are, why we are on this earth and what is happening in the human soul. And in the flowers and women's faces she wants us to read the poetry of our world. Aksana finds her inspiration in the beauty of each day and in many different mindful and spiritual practices.
