About The Artwork
Painted for the London Classic Car show - celebrating 50 years of The Italian Job, I did a series of three special canvases. This one depicts the iconic Fiat Ferrari at the beginning of the movie with the Mafia mob boss waiting for the Lamborghini Muria to smash into the Caterpiller tractor. I hope the energy of the scene comes across.

In my work I aim to capture the exhilaration or thrill of the moment and translate that onto the canvas. The light and the colours are all in the narrative, but I try to present an ethereal dreamlike quality to the work, emphasising a fleeting, ephemeral heartbeat in time.
