About The Artwork
Khadi is India’s first hand spun and handwoven fabric. It was promoted by Mahatma Gandhi as ‘swadeshi’ (self-sufficiency) during 1917-18 for the freedom struggle of India. A great fabric that remains cool in summer and warm in winter. Similarly, the artworks of this collection are created using handmade strokes! No use of tools like paint brush, palette knife etc. Green color symbolizes Nature, fertility, freshness, abundance and growth!
