This is a beautiful original acrylic painting of a cute baby elephant having a little rest after a long day searching for water He’s now sat under the blossom tree listening to the little song bird singing him to sleep as he endeavours to recoup his strength to carry on his journey It’s a lovely picture demonstrating the intentions of the one who created the beautiful earth for mankind to enjoy Sadly man has now brought the earth to ruin through greed and corruption causing the near extinction of many of the animal creation I believe this will soon be set straight by the one who created the universe and everything in it Jehovah God and it’s this hope and strong faith in the creator that inspires this painting along with much of my work Revelation 4: 11; “You are worthy, Jehovah our God, to receive the glory and the honour and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will they came into existence and were created.

Stephen Maddocks grew up in the 60s and right from an early age had a flair for being creative in many aspects of craftwork. He spent much of his life as a master woodworker and it wasn’t until later years developed his skills as an artist which he now pursues full time painting mainly with oils and acrylics on canvas and also developing sculpture using natural slate. Working from his purpose made workshop studio which he designed and built himself he finds this avenue creating beautiful pictures and individual sculptures most rewarding and satisfying. His works are inspired mainly from his love of creation all around and he says “ Wherever we travel we can find beautiful scenery within the natural creation of our beautiful earth. It’s only man through greed and corruption that has brought its ruin but I believe in the very near future all things will be set straight when the one who created all things will bring to ruin those ruining the earth.”
