About The Artwork
It was one of several stunning hikes in the Rocky Mountains during my summer holidays. The shallow and mirror like green-blue lake next to lovely green meadows with scattered trees framed by the rugged rocks made me photograph this scene again and again and once back of course I had to paint it. Materials used: Watercolours (Artist Quality) on Hahnemühle mould-made Ingres paper, 100 g/m² Format of the paper about 46 cm x 64 cm Format of the painting 40 x 60 cm (it is actually about 1-2 mm larger on each side so that it can be conveniently mounted behind a passepartout with a 40 x 60 cm window).
