This blue watercolor painting is based on photographs that I have taken in Bargilya, Bodrum (Turkey) on a November. Flamingos always fascinate me, they seem to hang around alone or in pairs even though they are frequently in a ritual massive movement. This painting involves my original lines, which I use for repetition. In existence, everything is repeated and I want to reflect this in my paintings using lines repeatedly. The painting also involves the use of realistic figures with expressive lines. In this way I want to create a harmonical contrast; resembling natural lives of all creatures. As for materials, artists' quality paints have been used on Arches watercolor block (archival quality, 300 gr).
