About The Artwork
This was so much fun to make and I feel this is really pleasing. Neon paint was used for layering to create something nostalgic, something that feels like trapper keepers and shiny backpacks, funky barettes and hologram folders from childhood. I wanted to utilize usual methods of applying paint to canvas then manipulating with a paint mixer-this time deliberately trying to avoid straight/perfect lines for a more jostled, jagged look--but ending up with a super fun, energetic result.
