About The Artwork

Work is the first of the "Aircraft in flight" series inspired by the Us Rome bombing at 19 july 1943 of San Lorenzo district, from a TRUE black and white picture published on web and taken by another B25 beside. In the map you can recognize the Vatican and the Tevere river. The team on Rome consisted of 900 Us bomber and caused 1800 deaths. This is an historical painting of the secon war in Italy.
