About The Artwork
This painting was inspired by a number of inspirations. The first one being the Japanese philosophy of Zen. The second being abstract expressionism and the third one being pop art. Although Zen peaked five hundred years ago, the mindfulness movement has taken over as popular way of thinking. I wanted to create an art that is as peaceful and beautiful as Zen and abstract expressionism but also has some relevance to this pop culture that we live in.
