About The Artwork
The work is inspired by a drive to create something exciting to look at and to release energy by physically interacting with the world. This one is about 11 feet by 5 feet. I hope the viewer will interact with the work and appreciate what is going on with the paint. After i gave birth to Worm Tamer, I literally poured over the surface from inches away and enjoyed seeing all the strange overlapping coincidences which take place at a microscopic scale. I need to have pressure to forge the paint onto the surface and create the textural dynamic so the canvas must be stapled against a hard surface. Signed and dated on the back. Joe Kotas 2021. Named after a song by Grinderman. Shipped in a tube with instructions/dimensions for stretching on a two-inch wood stretcher frame.
