I love painting women's faces; on occasion I don't necessarily make the expression very feminine. In this case, I wanted the eyes to be the focus. Penetrating, souldful, and yes vulnerable. But that does not make her weak. To the contrary; with the multitude of emotions women exude, they are able to manipulate without using words! As a figurative painter, there is an element of hyper realism, mixed with the fantasy colorations of expressionism.
