About The Artwork
Why did Renaissance artists depict biblical scenes in modern interiors and biblical characters in modern clothes? Maybe because they felt time differently than we do? and believed that what happened once is happening now? I decided to combine a Russian icon and a modern interior in the picture in order to show the events taking place outside of time.
