About The Artwork

the läc d'albegna, which is the rhaeto-romanic equivalent of lago d'albignia lies in the far west of the swiss canton of grisins close to the italian border. the rocks of the mountains which surround the lake are very brittle and in summer of 2017, a week after I explored the region for the first time, in the neighboring valley a very large avalanche of rocks broke loose and killed 8 hikers. in 2018 I went there again to take a further series of photographs of this beautiful but fragile part of the alps. in this picture a helicopter is about to land aside the hut to provide it with material. fine-art-print on tecco baryth 270 or hahnemühle photo rag. comes rolled in a tube. looks great mounted on a dibond alloy board in combination with a shadow gap wooden frame in black f. e.

Niels Schubert is a German Architecture, Advertising & Art Photographer who lives in Stuttgart, Germany. Besides his commercial work he has been exploring the connection between humans, urban space and landscape for many years. The latest result of this artisitc examination has led to the series “genova – concrete & color” (2013 -2016) in which he demonstrates the implicit and undiscussed organisation of space and private sphere and the resulting pattern in the microcosm of public and private beaches in the greater area of the city of Genova. His photographic style can be described through precision and strenght which leads to pictures which are striking and informative.
