HYPNOTHEA The works in this project give the impression of a parallel world. The intentional shifts in the plane of images, seemingly a chaotically planned main plan, create a context in which time does not follow only one way, and entropy is not a final phenomenon. Technically, graphics presented here, are the result of a certain process - the collection was created as a result of work done based on recovered, previously removed photos. The data recovery software algorithm has extracted several files from a completely defragmented disk and damaged them in the compositional and technical layer. Some of the files were created as a result of automatic combination of scraps of data from different periods of time - the recovery algorithm, scanning individual parties of the memory, caught fragments of photos taken many months ago and combined them with those taken only a few hours ago. It can be said that once recovered, each of the photo became the only surviving representation of the originals, which irreversibly changed their state, becoming a whole new digital existence. That way recovered collection was a strict base for further graphic works, the result of which is presented here. What intentions did I have? The purpose of the process was to move attention, put an accent on the other than usual elements of reality captured with the camera lens. The idea was to use routine footage as the subject of an experiment whereby it would be possible to induce an inner state of excitement, alertness, awakening from lethargy. I expected such emotional states that push to action and arouse from hypnotic everyday life. It can be said that an element of uncertainty (permanent removal of carefully selected photos with an intentional attempt to recover them) included in the already controlled creative process on recovered material, caused an internal reset and the possibility of adopting a different perspective than usual. ____ Signed. I have been photographing and digitally processing for many years. I am attracted to conceptual themes, geometry and nature found in the least expected places. I believe that the lack of symmetry and order are also elements of reality that create metaphors, releasing a wealth of creativity.
