Mamie Reflection Photograph

The summer of 2015 I would circle Lake Mamie in the Eastern Sierras of California, painting or taking pictures with a digital camera. The lake has a varied shoreline with small bays and an island. In this particular spot you can look across, and in the early morning when the lake surface is sometimes still get a clear reflection. I chose to flip the image upside down, though still correct left to right, to make us see it afresh, and let go of our preconceptions.
