At Zuma Beach in Malibu California, It's not a good idea to swim or surf in front of the Lifeguard Headquarters between Towers 8 and 9, an area particularly prone to rip currents. In fact, rip currents are so prevalent that as of 2007 the Los Angeles County Fire Department Lifeguard Unit uses Zuma Beach to illustrate a rip current.

My approach to photography is not limited to a time, place, camera setting or style. I have spent the last several years taking a terminally ill family member on the road trip of a lifetime. We have experienced extreme heat, break downs, boondocking, fires, evacuations and nearly one hundred thousand miles of time on the road. Many of my photos are a result of these bucket list places and experiences. They are the truth as my eyes see it. Every photo has a deep connection to my life and special place in my heart. I have never considered myself an artist and feel awkward calling myself one so lets just say where ever I may roam I take pictures of things I love. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
