About The Artwork

Limited editions of 70x86cm are printed on Hahnemühle FineArt Photo Rag paper 308 g/m2, and are delivered with author certificate. Each fine art print includes 1cm white border on all four sides to facilitate framing. The artworks in this series are created by joining two distinct photographs, one from above and the other from below water. Although the artwork is presented as a unified photograph, the contrast between the two worlds above and underwater gives you a glance of the different moods and leads to different levels of reading. The image contains different layers, each layer telling a different story of the water’s state. Those layers are separated by what is referred to as “Tipping Lines”, like the horizon and the surface of the sea. I have contemplated the sea my whole life, and till this day e difference between everything happening above and below water has always stroke my curiosity. How could a thin surface separate two such different worlds? Prints in smaller sizes are available directly through Saatchi in open editions. Moreover, I accept special commissions and requests if you are still unable to find what you are looking for. Feel free to contact me through curator@saatchiart.com
