This is the Dancing Lady with words and thoughts to live by. It makes you happy to dance, and words of encouragement give you hope, and dancing with encouragement gives you empowerment. These are thought provoking phrases accompanied by bright cheerful colors to make you feel alive, like dancing. This sculpure is two sided and it turns so you can face it whatever way you like. It is made of aluminum and metal paint and it is easy to clean and care for. It's a great outdoor piece that can bolted to the cement or concrete easily. However it would be a nice stand-alone piece indoors too which would not require it to be bolted down. It was made originally from a grant I received from the NEA (National Endowment for the Arts) which accompanied an entire exhibition on Women's Empowerment. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

I grew up in Laguna Beach, California and lived in Southern California most of my life, however, I am now residing half my time in North Carolina. I've been a professional artist for over 20 years, this is my full time job, it's not a back-up plan. I've shown my artwork in galleries across the United States and in Los Cabos, Mexico. In addition to my art I have published for books all sold at Barnes & Noble etc. but my true passion is painting and sculpting. I'm passionate about women's issues, equal rights, the environment and animals. Artist Statement: I often use vivid colors to feature topics with a darker undertone. Some of the subjects I paint about are: women, race, equality, politics, the environment, pop culture, power & mental illness. My work is often iconic and easily recognizable by my unique style of outlining my subjects both literally and figuratively.
