About The Artwork

Whimsical Dolphin Carved in Stone A while back I was reading an article about a young 12 year old girl named Pamela who was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer. Pamela was residing somewhere in Ohio when her parents decided to take her on a vacation to Florida before starting her on cancer treatments. The article touched upon a place where people can go to swim with the dolphins somewhere in Florida. There was a photograph in the article of Pamela being kissed on the cheek by a dolphin and she had the most amazing ear to ear smile I have ever seen. (How I wish I had saved the article) What is about certain animals that can have such a profound effect on people? I’m not sure! But Pamela lost her battle with cancer six months after her treatment started. This sculpture entitled “Pam’s Porpoise” I created in her honor……..
