About The Artwork
When soft and hard when hushed and loud I pull myself into my core and give myself a hug. This artwork is about an attempt to come to peace with inner and outer polarities, relaxing into inner self, giving yourself a hug, and finding mother in it all. I used my own clothes for this artwork, shredding them, knitting them, then dressing my form made from plastic cable ties wrapped in fabric. It hangs on itself on one wall anchor and weighs about five pounds.
