I was inspired by maritime or boat migration, remains a significant global concern. Desperate individuals seeking better economic opportunities or fleeing political unrest often resort to perilous journeys across seas and oceans in overcrowded and unseaworthy vessels. These perilous trips are fraught with dangers, including the risk of drowning, exploitation by human traffickers, and exposure to harsh weather conditions.

A creative cultural manager and freelance artist with over 15 years of local and international experience in managing artistic projects, curating exhibitions and events, and training children and adults on various forms for visual arts. I am the founder and curator of the Recycle Art Festival that introduced innovative artistic concepts and approaches following the 2020 parliamentary elections in Jordan, and successfully engaged over 70 visual artists to deploy various forms of art to raise awareness among parliamentarians and the public on environment friendly campaigning. As part of the Festival, I planned and designed a series of seminars, trainings and workshops for artists and art students that culminated in a month-long exhibition in the “Ras Al Ain Gallery”. During my work in Paris and Jordan, I collaborated with renowned galleries and museums, including the “Louvre Museum”, “Agence France Museum”, and the “Jordan National Gallery for Fine Arts”, and curated exhibitions, developed projects proposal, raised funds and enhanced visibility of the institutions in advancing art appreciation and increasing public engagement with the arts. As an art teacher at “Haya Cultural Center” and several local art schools, I teach ceramics courses for young and adults, encouraging creative expression while also advancing student’s knowledge of art techniques and art appreciation. Much of my teaching is directed to working with children and youth from underserved communities and refugees to support skills building and therapy through the arts.
