Literature and Art do a very nice dance together, and as you mention in 'Anxious People', both can be like love letters between people to connect and relate our emotions to each other. All works from the 'Dissecting Gravity' series are created on paper mounted wood panels artfully painted & splashed with pure watercolors. The rich texture of the trees are created with collaged bits of images of bark & litter I clean up off scenic highways, as a gentle reminder that if we do not stop trashing the planet, trees will not grow from our garbage in the future. The overall result is an aesthetically alluring composition with a hidden message about protecting our forests. This piece was created on wood panels and finished with two coats of archival satin varnish, creating a contemporary but natural look. The edges are natural wood.
