Rock Circle Print

There is nothing as solid in nature as rocks. They are the most naturally enduring elements of our earth. Rocks hold our earth together, have been used to perform engineering feats, and glitter on the fingers of so many of earth’s inhabitants. Cairns have been erected as trail markers and have been used in ceremonial religious events throughout the ages. I wonder about the history of the rocks in this photo. How did they get in this lake and in this circular formation? And in the pic of the tall squared off rock that resided in an industrial development there is a long white grain that runs straight through it. These rocks document their time on this planet. They have also been the original surface for art since humans came into being. So, this small homage to rocks will serve as a jumping off point for a series in my future. This piece is wired to hang.
