Leaf Dance Print - Limited Edition of 3

This is the digital outcome from a small paper work that was later developed as the painting The Burning Bush. I have spent a fair amount of time wandering around galleries and museums in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, you tend to absorb things. Painting on ceramics and silk are a taste that can be cultivated with exposure. Initially exhibitions of Chinese calligraphy were incomprehensible to me as text and Westerners rarely wander into those rooms but after a while I found such works clearly communicate emotion in the brush marks and aspects of their creators character or intent. I guess I know what its like to be a parrot listening to human speech, anyway it has influenced my gestural repertoire over the years, which is evident in this work.
